Waste feedstocks into
refinery-ready fuel.

AQP Bio turns pyrolysis oils and HTL bio-oils from forestry residues, waste tires, and industrial waste streams into refinery-ready fuel. It deploys at the source. No reformer. No external hydrogen. No infrastructure to justify before the first barrel.

The challenge

Renewable fuels didn't fail on supply. They failed on integration.

Refineries can't process bio-oils as-is. Most renewable oil producers have nowhere to sell.

Conventional catalysts fail fast on bio-oils Sulfide-based catalysts are poisoned by the oxygen and water in bio-oils. They degrade faster, need replacing more often, and the economics fall apart quickly.
We process the entire feedstock — no dewatering, no fractionation Fractionating the sugar loses the carbon. Dewatering does the same. AQP Bio takes the feedstock as-is and converts all of it — water, oxygen, and all — without throwing away the biogenic carbon you started with.
External hydrogen kills the business case Traditional hydrotreating needs external H₂. That means either buying it (expensive) or building a reformer (capital-intensive).

How it works

Three things conventional catalysts can't do. Ours can.

The AQP Bio catalyst is built on carbided chemistry, a non-sulfide, water-tolerant active phase. This process generates the hydrogen it needs in the most efficient way. Most catalysts break down where ours starts working.

01

Tolerates water and oxygen

Stable with 50%+ water content
02

No sulfiding agent required

No H₂S. No amine plants for handling sulphurs.
03

Integrated hydrogen generation

No external H₂ supply needed
Validated performance

Tested on feedstocks conventional catalysts can't handle.

Thousands of hours across eight feedstock types. The numbers below are measured outputs, not projections.

Hydrothermal Liquefaction

HTL Oil: Forestry Waste

Among the highest-TAN feedstocks we've run. AQP Bio eliminated total acidity and cut oxygen from 11.3% to under 1% — the longest continuous run reported in published literature for this class of feedstock.

Hydrothermal Liquefaction

HTL Oil: Dairy / DAF Sludge

Dairy waste HTL arrives dense, high in nitrogen, and loaded with compounds that typically poison a catalyst fast. AQP Bio brought TAN, sulfur, and oxygen all to zero under stable conditions.

Fast Pyrolysis

Pyrolysis Oil: Waste Tires

Waste tire oil is high in sulfur and nitrogen — both hard to process cleanly. AQP Bio removed over 80% of the sulfur and reduced nitrogen by up to 80%, with stable operation and no special handling required.

Bio-Oil: Sawdust / Forestry Biomass

With 25% water and 51% oxygen, this feedstock would kill a conventional sulfide catalyst on contact. AQP Bio upgraded it to a predominantly diesel-range product — 65% diesel yield — with zero TAN and zero water.

The differentiator

The catalysts are ours. And that's the entire advantage.

AQP Bio is powered by NanosTech's proprietary molybdenum carbide catalysts, led by the Olympia family alongside other proprietary catalyst bed combinations. Together they run the full slate of chemistry the hardest feedstocks demand: CO₂ activation, hydrodeoxygenation, hydrodesulfurization, hydrodenitrogenation, hydrogenation, and reverse water-gas shift, with no dewatering step, no external hydrogen, and no noble metals. They deliver precious-metal performance at a fraction of the cost, and unlike those systems, they scale for industrial deployment. With the longest continuous operation time in the industry*, across 8 feedstocks.
